Therapy Gala Dinner

Sisters with a Soul Therapy is an organization that was Launched on the 10th of October 2020, it recently had one of the most powerful therapy Gala dinner on the 20th of November 2021 here in Lydenburg where people from different walks of life were invited to participate in reviving their spiritual, emotional and cultural lives respectively.

The Organization invited 3 Guests speakers namely Sbusiso Mango, Nyiko Mabundu and Millicent Racheku and 3 Musical Artists namely Cleo Ncongwane, Tshegofatso Mashilangwako and Amadoda anyakazisa umuzi. The guest speakers invited, covered different segments of the 3 aspects that the Organization seeks to assist people in.

These various speakers shared on the essence of ‘’sister’s keeper’’ where they blatantly signified the vitality of women coming together primarily making it easier for the male gender to follow suit to create a less toxic environment.

Firstly, the conversation exposed the notion that the barrier that has often been established within the female gender lies in stereotypes that has been created and perpetrated over a period of time, which therefore created rifts between women and other women, men and women and etc. The subject taught on this particular day, firstly questions the status quo in relation to how people treat and relate with each-other.

Secondly the Speakers indirectly posed a question that centres on the issue of gender-based violence, questioning if whether every individual is doing all they can to help out in as much as the issue is concerned. Additionally, the Speakers also touched on issues affecting men which are often ignored in the society because of the sexist masculinity type-casting that perceive men as less emotional and never victims of circumstances whilst in actual fact they are simultaneously victims as women are.

The solution that was then proposed for the above stipulated situation concerning the issues that men deal with was seeking help from psychological practices, community trained personals who deal with such matters and spiritual guidance from mature and skilful leaders in the area to help in recovering self-esteem, healing, curbing depression & gender-based violence.

To conclude the matter the Motivators further collectively recommended more detailed solutions to address the issues faced by both genders in the society emphasising that both genders are not at war and they need to act like wise.

As the function transitioned, the C.E.O Dudu Mnguni attended to the Purpose of the day where she firstly shared an inciteful aspect that the first evident therapy of the day was characterized by costume and make-up which the attendees wore. The essence of dressing up boasted and motived the people’s spirits hence saying, if you dress up beautifully, you feel good. Dudu Mnguni also shared the Mission & Vision of the Company putting emphasis to the fact that the Organization not only targets women but men too, as all people need therapy.

Moreover, she elaborated on the importance of healing through therapy, as she pinpointed that toxicity is orchestrated from bitterness. As she concluded she gave a profound vote of thanks appreciating the effort made by everyone to attend and participate.

In conclusion, as Lydenburg Real Times we had the privilege to interview the attendees who spoke of a dynamic transformation they felt from when they came in, giving relevance to the theme of the day
